Scuba Diving Course

If you have always wanted to become a scuba diver, this class is for you. Your knowledge of scuba diving will increase exponentially during this class as you begin your journey to become a certified diver. This three day session includes classroom and water instruction plus a final exam. However, this three day course is only the first phase of obtaining a scuba certifi cation. Upon completing the three day course individuals will need to obtain an Open Water referral from the instructor to complete the scuba certification. The Open Water dives will not be done through the Meeker Recreation Center. Participants must provide their own masks, snorkels and fins. Booties are optional, but nice. All Scuba gear is provided. After completing this class you will be ready to do your Open Water check out dives. (Additional costs do apply.)

Within 3 weeks of the class, but no later than noon, Thursday, Sept 23, you must stop by the Dive Shop in Grand Junction to be fitted for your scuba gear and purchase your mask, snorkel and fins if needed. The shop’s address is 2863 North Avenue, GJ and is close to the Texas Roadhouse and Walmart. Hours are Monday – Saturday 10 am – 5:30pm Class time will be divided between the MP Room and the Pool. Final review and test will be Sunday.
