District Policies

QUALITY ASSURANCE: The District strives to provide high quality services and programs. Contact us with comments, concerns or questions.

BACKGROUND CHECKS: All employees and volunteers undergo a background check before working with District Patrons.

VOLUNTEERS: Many of our programs rely on community volunteers. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The District has a scholarship program available for many District-sponsored activities. If you are interested in filling out a scholarship application or have questions, please contact us at 878.3403.

FEES: Fees are subject to change without notice.

AGE REQUIREMENTS: Participants must meet the specified age requirement for at least 50% of the program duration.

INCLUSION: The District strives to provide individuals with disabilities access to programs and activities. If further accommodation is required, reasonable provisions will be made upon request.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: A credit will be given to persons registered for a CANCELLED program - unless a refund is requested. Persons DROPPING a program must request a credit or refund before the first day of the class or program.

RISK OF INJURY: Participation in all recreation and park activities and programs is at the participant's own risk. The District, its cooperating agencies, its representatives, successors and assigns will not be liable for any injuries or damages suffered by participants in any activity. At the time of registration, all participants must also agree to the Liability Waiver/Photo Release.

REGISTRATION POLICIES: Preregistration will begin December 29 unless otherwise noted. Preregistration is strongly recommended! Registration cutoff will occur for any of the following reasons:

A. When a program maximum has been met (however. registrants can have their name put on a waiting list in the event of unexpected openings).

B. After one-third of the program sessions have occurred.

C. At the instructor's discretion.

D. At the discretion of the Rec District staff.

To be considered registered, relevant fees must be paid.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES/LATE FEES: Team sport programs such as Soccer, YBA, Baseball and Fast Pitch have a registration deadline as noted in the program information. All registrations taken after the deadline will include a $10 late fee. Paying the late fee does not guarantee a spot on the team, nor the availability of a uniform or equipment.
